Leftover Turkey……

December 15th, 2010

Thanks mom for giving me nearly 2lbs of shredded left over turkey! I had no IDEA what to do with this so I got to thinking…… Turkey and Wild Rice Taste good together…….among a couple other recipe ideas.

My Fast N Easy forget about it no Turkey & Wild Rice Casserole Dinner:

2 boxes of Uncle Bens Wild Rice
1 small can of cream of chicken
Chopped Celery (optional)
1 lb of shredded Turkey
Pepper

Instructions:

Cook the boxes of Uncle Bens Wild Rice per the package instructions (leave a lil water left)
Add Turkey
Add Celery
Open can of Cream of Chicken add to the mixture and stir until everything has been stirred real good LOL
Sprinkle Pepper on top of the mixture

(Optional other ideas, add Bacon, etc)

Transfer to a glass rectangle pan and bake for 15 minutes (long enough to bake some ROLLS)

note: You can also use this recipe modified for shredded chicken.

Serve and Enjoy!

I thought I would share with you what I discovered in my inbox this morning!

Calling all potential Swaggers or Swagger veterans out there:

I thought I would share with you my thoughts on how to offset your Holiday purchases with Amazon Gift Certificates which is offered by Swagbucks.

You can bank as many “points” as you can but keep in mind that when you break it all down mathematically; it appears that grabbing those $5.00 (costs 450 SB) Amazon Gift Certificates is a far logical choice over saving bank for the $25.00 (costs 3150 SB) or $50.00 (costs 5900 SB) one.

Lemme explain why:

$5.00 (450 SB) x 5 = 2,250 Swagbucks spent to redeem 5 (Makes for a total of $25.00 in AGC’s.)

$5.00 (450 SB) x 10 = 4,500 Swagbucks spent to redeem 10 (Makes for a total of $50.00 in AGC’s.)

$25.00 (3150 SB) x 2 = 6,300 Swagbucks spent to redeem 2 (Makes for a total of $50.00 in AGC’s.)

$50.00 (5,900 SB) x 1 = 5,900 Swagbucks spent to redeem 1 (Makes for a total of $50.00 in AGC’s.)

__________________________________________________________________________

So with that said, if you can cash out for 5 ($5.00  Amazon Gift Certificates) and bank it every month for the next 12 months, you can offset your holiday purchases easily by $300.00 ALONE with Amazon Gift Certificates.

Now keep in mind you can also offset your holiday purcahses with a Target e-Gift Card for $20.00 for 2,350 Swagbucks.

As for me I think 2011, I will offset my Holiday purchases with my $5.00 AGC’s and build up myAmazon gift certificate balance so that way I am all set for the Holidays in 2011.

If you haven’t already signed up for Swagbucks, I urge you to do so, you won’t regret it! :)
